Thanks -

Attinsley cashed for it before finding this out and I updated the post when it wouldn't let me claim my Burt's Bees so I am updating this post immediately when I get new information, and am letting support know as well. I got more than was listed for the Burt's Bees, $14 instead of $10.90 and after they fixed it, was able to apply it to my account, so this is a 'safe' prize. Jeez, I'm hoping things get resolved soon but even if I'm not on the site much, I am elsewhere and still keeping track of these things for all the members. Thanks Teri.

    See this correspondence:
Many Prizes are actually gift certificates that can be used to purchase the Prize described at a third-party vendor. In these cases, the value of the gift certificate is equal to or greater than the cost of purchasing the Prize (excluding any shipping, handling, or applicable taxes) from the designated vendor as of the time you claim your Prize. Winnie is not responsible for subsequent price increases by the vendor for that Prize. Unless otherwise stated, the vendors have no affiliation with Winster, Inc., and are not authorized to act or make representations on behalf of Winster, Inc. You may be required to register and/or create an account with the vendor in order to redeem your certificate and collect your Prize, and you are subject to the vendor's applicable policies, including expiration dates or inactivity charges for their certificates. You are solely responsible for any shipping, handling, taxes or other incidental charges as required by the vendor. Note in particular that many vendors charge sales tax when gift certificates are redeemed, based on your place of residence.
I am sorry for this inconvenience.
Subject: points for prize redemption I sent you all an email yesterday after I cashed out for the Belgian waffle maker and got $20 credit for it although the amazon website says $24.72. I would not think there to be a discrepancy unless there was a sudden mark down. I don’t know if you had an opportunity to review that or not, but as I sent it from my home email, I just am giving you my work email as well when you respond.
Thank you in advance.
Hey - thanks for telling me that and I'll pass it along. That's really not fair that they don't give the list amount when you're expecting that and since I was going to cash for it for my son's bday I would have been very upset, even over a $5 difference, since he wants video games.

I appreciate that you took the time to tell me this is wrong and I'll edit the post now to say the tool kit is best unless they are gypping people on that as well.

    Regarding winster prizes:

I checked at Amazon and the price was as note 24.97 but when i cashed for it they gave me $20.00 even so it is not the best deal. Burt's Bees at 13.95 is/was if they still honor it, otherwise there must be an alternative.

This is Lady Laran on Winster. The poor support for paid members and lag issues make the site an intolerable place to play. They are supposed to give consideration to those who have paid before their downgrade and have gypped people before when this happens.

Winster needs to seriously contemplate its business ethics in regards to Customer Service!

Hey - Thanks for letting me know, since I can't see those on my own i.p. I'm going to remove those from the adbrite options and leave the sidebar one, since I think it would actually turn people off instead of making any money. As it is, I've only made like a penny in a week, so I doubt I'll be keeping any of the ads at all, since they annoy me and use up bandwidth. I may try Google ads, but thanks for leaving a comment.
