Well, my son has been needing karate sparring gear for his classes and for his next belt anyhow, so I checked out this site. The gear looks more comfortable than the stuff they're using right now for all the kids to train with, and I'd expected it to be more expensive, but the headgear was around $35, which isn't bad for martial arts gear that you'll need for a while and that's a necessity.
There was a huge selection of all kinds of sparring equipment, so there's a lot to look through, and right now we only need the basics, but it is cheaper than ordering through his dojo, and definitely doesn't look as miserable as the stuff they're sticking them in. And I'm sure he'd like to have his own, rather than share sweat with other trainees, and then I won't have to worry about germs. I just didn't know it could be affordable.
