It's been a while since I've been able to do any charity work myself because of health issues, but I feel that this is importance, since my best friend's grandmother has Alzheimers and I know what a toll it take on her family, and how difficult it is for her personally. Each day she calls thinking that they've stolen her house, and not recalling the loss of her husband, and it's torture. I wish more than anything that they could cure her so my friend could have her grandmother back.
is an easy enough thing that any of us could do it to help out. We could walk in teams, to support those who just aren't the same person they were. It's an unfair and cruel way to go out, and puts the families through so much pain when they try to speak to someone who can't remember anything. Please consider doing this walk, if not for someone you know, than for me because my surgeries don't permit me to do things like this anymore and it's a very important cause.
Just consider it. Would you want your parents or sibling to suffer this way, to call repeatedly insisting that life-changing events haven't happened? To require constant nursing care with no real quality of life, when taking a simple walk could help raise funds for a cure?
