The FTP only allows you to go to a users directory, and it fails every time that you try to copy it over to the main parts, even if you chose copy instead of move. Therefore, I cannot install things that I am trying to install without making every folder myself, and uploading single files into each through the web interface, which is really going to suck since one of the installs I'm trying to do right now contains nearly 2,000 files in different folders and subfolders. Killlllll me, please. I've been trying to do ONE thing for four days that should have taken ten minutes with ftp, and it still isn't even started because of these errors.

Another Problem With Globat Hosting.

Water Tanks by BushRanger
BushRanger offers a wide range of Water Tanks, which are great ways for those of you who are 'green' or eco-friendly to conserve rainwater for gardening and other uses. Instead of running your water bill up, why not use natural resources for your water needs, such as washing your car or windows? These are flexible and durable containers, with many innovations that set them apart from plain plastic tanks. There are several categories to start with, depending on your needs and location -
A Vote, Please
So, opinions (you can text me or e-mail... Because of spam, I generally don't allow commenting or trackbacks to this blog) on something:
What do you think is the best free blogging software to install on your domain, what features does it have, and why? Linux hosting only, please. Some examples (these are ones I'm currently using in different sites) are Serendipity, WordPress, and B2Evolution. If you know of some other ones, let me know if they're any good. Thanks!

Antinque and High End Cars...
Definitely need a good car cover. I saw some beautiful ones at the fair, and I can't imagine that the owners leave theirs out in the elements. I actually never realized there were so many different types, since my dad just has a standard local one from the car place he works at, but there are tons of different products on that site. There is a really cute animal pad liner for trucks so that they're not on the hard metal and have some comfort, and I thought that was a really nice thing to offer. My pets are family, so their comfort during travel should be considered.
Musings.
How difficult can it be to talk to your own family about serious issues and your relationship? It seems like I'm frozen in this state of non-communication, and it hurts. I have a degree in psychology so this shouldn't be so difficult, right? I don't even communicate very well online, honestly. I'm half-seeing someone I care about, but it's a long distance relationship, and I suck at those. I don't know much about showing affection, because it's been withheld from me for so long. And I watch Evangelion, and I know I'm Shinji, and he's so pathetic. I want a normal life... I'm starting another site that is politics and business conspiracies only, and have a HUGE project in the works that is gonna totally rock, but is taking a lot of time. I have no life at the moment...
Sump Pump
Considering all the bad weather many areas have had lately, many of you may have been looking into a sump pump installation basement setup. These are good for basements that get a lot of water - and having had our downstairs flooded, I know what a hassle it is, because we don't have a way to drain the water. We used buckets and a broom... But if you're living in a very wet area or one that gets hit a lot with storms, you need more than that. They give free estimates - I have to admit, I know nothing about what horsepower is needed for a certain space, and I would always recommend talking to a professional instead of asking me, but there's quite a bit of information on there and you can contact them. It's certainly a better option that could allow you to salvage anything stored in the basement (ours is all stored in plastic bins now but you can't keep things that may warp in those) rather than let the water sit with your things. I lost many things that were dear to my heart, and we spent so much time clearing out the basement, when we could have had a much easier time if we'd owned a pump and drain.
Soooo sick.

in wells of pain and fear
but will not shed a tear
for a brighter day will come

Looking for web hosting?
Then reading the articles and reviews on website hosting could help you a great deal, since they list prices and the ones with awards. My host is actually on their front page as the third one. If you click on one you're interested in, you'll get a ton of information that you'll want when choosing your host, because I know from experience you don't want to get stuck with a bad one. I've had to change hosts a few times, and it's a hassle transferring things, and feeling like you've wasted your money. You want one you'll be happy with for years, so that your site will be updatable and always a constant, so that you can brand your site and not go through the trouble of changing hosts, doing more installs, and transferring all of your files, including posts if you're a blogger.
The amount of detail is remarkable. The individual pages for the host have the prices depending on how long you agree to host with them,
Five articles on Associated Content so far...
Burned - a poem about a relationship gone bad.
Freedom Fandom - a funny story about a short conversation in my car.
Value - point of view of a slum girl.
Performing withe the Cirque Du Soleil: How to Join this Circus - self explanatory.
Hiring a Publicist: Questions an Author Needs to Know and Ask - self explanatory.
So check them out if you want - the freedom one is pretty amusing.

Looking for someone?
People Finder can help. Whether it's someone you need child suppport from, an old childhood friend, or a relative you've lost the number of and need to find regarding a family member's health issue, you can search for them there. It's really easy to use, with common names on the front page that you can click, and a search bar above that. I have a few results to go through for my son's deadbeat father, but it's well-laid out unlike some sites.
Domain Purchasing - Avoid Globat
Okay, do not use domains are free for domain purchases, or globat, because they won't give it to you. I registered one there that went through just fine. Then I registered one a week ago, and still haven't gotten it, and they have a gaudy pastel link farm up instead. It's worth paying the extra money to go with GoDaddy or someone else, even though I do like Globat's hosting package. So annoyed. Anyhow I have two new domains, but not the one Globat stole...
New Ventures
I had hoped for more of my new site to be up by now, but because of the severe pain I'm in and not being able to hook up my external drive, I've only got two blogs, a shop, and a forum installed without any content at this time. I am working on it daily, though. Just concerned I may need another surgery, and it's very miserable to be in this condition. I need a ride to the store to get my meds, if anyone can offer one...

Yummy~
Every kid, including my son, would love to have one of these: popcorn machines. [ Giggles at memories. ] Every time I see the word popcorn, movies and fairs only come second to my mind. What comes first is what happened at this hacker and technology convention, where they spent hours popping enough popcorn to fill a whole room and hallway. It was awesome! I really should post those pictures, and I have to take Gryphon to the movies this weekend. Now I wish I could relive that... swimming in popcorn. Not many people get to say they've done that.
Kitchen Faucets
My parents recently got some kitchen faucets on a sink that doesn't even work! I'm sorry, it just cracks me up. They're so pretty, but how am I supposed to use them when the sink isn't hooked to water? I do love accessorizing and decorating rooms and all the functional equipment though. I'm one of those people who can spend hours roaming a hardware store, just dreaming away, and leaving with a random assortment of knobs and resin, wood planks, and dremel bits for whatever strange thing I'm constructing in my room. Nice assortment... I think I'd like to attach them to paintings on the wall just to confuse people and see how many visitors try to touch or use them. ^_^
Phentermine
For those of you considering a Phentermine Diet, this site gives a review of classifications and side effects, along with warnings. Phentermine is classified as an amphetamine along with being classified as an appetite suppressant drug. It should not be taken if you meet any of the following criteria: you are also taking dexfenfluramine, fenfluramine, furazolidone,
guanadrel, guanethidine, or have taken a monoamine oxidase inhibitor
(MAOI) in the last 14 days, you have high blood pressure, an overactive thyroid, glaucoma, heart or blood vessel disease, or severe narrowing of the blood vessel. You should also not take it if you are pregnant or under 18. This drug works by releasing catecholamines such as dopamine, epinephrine, and norepeinephrine. It supresses appetite by inducing a flight or fight response, so I personally wouldn't recommend it for those with anxiety disorders. Some common side effects include dry mouth, constipation, diarrhea, restlessness, and insomnia.

Technology annoys me sometimes.
So I have this spiffy new server and two new domains, with a lot of stuff to be launched on it, and there are issues, or else the site would have gone live today. And I want this resolved, like, NOW. Because it has 1.5 terabytes of storage, 1.2 terabytes of bandwidth, along with tons of software already installed by me today, including a gallery, a shopping cart, another blog, and a bulletin board.
I'm going to go wallow in frustration now. Plus I've been in pain for so many days and unable to move because of my back, and I need something to distract me. I got hypnotized by Blaine and have it on DVD, btw, if you want to see once the site is working properly. It's a DNS issue, which was supposed to have been fixed 7 hours ago.
Nostalgia
In this age of war, controversy, terrorism, and all around fear, one has to admit to missing the days of dollhouses. I still have one that is very special to me, and I'm not wanting to get rid of it despite what it is worth - an antique Smurf village where you can put the characters in small round places and depending on where and who it is, different things are said. I'm a huge fan of toys in general, owning several retro ones and all the cutting edge ones. Who says you need to grow up? Being an adult is overrated. I still want a hoverboard, though...
What my dad needed -
when his Ford was wrecked, was a good truck accident lawyer so that he wouldn't have been completely ripped off. Well, he traded that truck in, getting less for it than it was worth, for a new one, but since most of us can't afford a lawyer and even more can't qualify for legal aid (which I suppose I'm going to have to ask for during my current legal case), it's best to know an affordable specialist when something goes wrong, or you're in an accident. Doesn't hurt to bookmark them just in case, since accidents happen, and it's hard to search afterwards when you're dealing with the other repercussions.
Sick of your job?
Most people are, unless they earned degrees and managed to get into the field that they really adore, since the majority of people work in repetitive, non-challenging, uncreative, and just tedious jobs for the money, rather than the passion. I'm lucky enough to work from home, though I don't make much, but for those of you who don't have the opportunity, you may have thought about purchasing a small business franchise so that you can be your own boss. There are a wide variety of these, and if you have the capital, it can be an easier way to control your work than trying to be an entrepreneur in a highly competitive world. So maybe you've thought about it, but have you actually checked it out?
